Stonehaugh hall

This is our Beautiful Scandinavian village hall.

It is available to all for private or commercial hire.

Set in the Northumberland National Park at the edge of the Wark forest it is Eco-heated with ground source heating. It has capacity for 120 people and is available for weddings, corporate events, children's parties and private use. Full bar and kitchen facilities can be included in the hire.

Hours of Operation:

0900 - 0200 7 days a week - The Hall is hired by the Stonehaugh Social Club every Thursday to Sunday in the evening.

Prices

The prices for hiring the Hall have been set out for trial in a prices document (.doc 52kb). These prices have caused some concern over the charges for local usage but they are open to review and all suggestions for amendments and improvements are welcome. The prices were based on a study of other village hall prices (.pdf 14kb) around the country and were intended for events outside of the Club hire agreement.

Trustees

The hall is held in trust and is a registered charity. The trust is governed by a deed of trust (.doc 76kb). It conforms to the governing rules set out by the Charity Commission. Trustee Responsibilities are set out plainly on the Charity Commission web site.

If you are interested in becoming a trustee then you should take a look at the Charity Commission leaflet The Essential Trustee. The duties and responsibilities of trustees are fully explained here.

All clubs and societies can appoint a member as a trustee (8 positions). There are 5 elected positions and a further 2 positions available to be co-opted.

No group shall have more than a total of 2 members either appointed, elected or co-opted onto the management committee.
